To provide the students with the necessary knowledge/know-of the fundamental principles that cover the various responsibilities the technical and healthcare professionals of the sector may have to manage in the course of their duties.

To make the students aware of the information flow present in the scientific field of healthcare through various means, including a presentation on the nature and purpose of the various types of scientific literature.

To make them aware of the most suitable methods that can be used to obtain specific information, as well as the tools available to read and interpret scientific literature. To ensure the students can assess the accuracy and authority of the above; to raise awareness of issues as to copyrights, intellectual property rights, along with providing them with the necessary skills to use a tool correctly aimed at managing the bibliography found.

Procedures and tenders: the acquisition of Health Technologies within a University Hospital - 1 CFU;

To make the students aware of the legislative and procedural information which the processes leading to the acquisition of health technologies are based on, in compliance with the Italian laws governing the Public Administration.

To enable them to find the correct Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria (A.O.U.) codes and regulations (of the workplace).

To make the students aware of issues involving public funding, the various types and their correct use in technical / administrative activities. (These will span from the special tender specifications to the technical evaluation and procedure analyses).

Sociology of language and telematic networks - 1 CFU;

To make the students aware of the skills that will enable them to understand the mechanisms underlying general network communication, mental conditioning, the underlying factors that may create distortion of information.

Elements of work psychology applied to well-being in groups - 2 CFU;

To enable the students to give a reasoned and contextualized answer to the relational dynamics when the work group method is adopted. This is aimed at stimulating student to use this knowledge to enhance not only their work environment, but also quality of life by opening up their own perspectives. on the work- life balance.

To be able to recognise the various types of responsibilities so as to be able to apply the awareness acquired to everyday tasks in the healthcare sector.

The students are expected to be able to identify, evaluate, organize, create, use and communicate to others, the specific scientific literature covering their own scientific sector.

Procedures and tenders: the acquisition of Health Technologies within a University Hospital - 1 CFU;

The students are expected to be knowledgeable on the most important rules/regulations governing the Italian Public Administration and the management of contracts/ supplies.

As well as having acquired the information/know-how as to the different ways of acquiring health technologies. They should also be competent in the information covering health technology maintenance processes.

The students are expected to be able to understand how online communication has, and will. change, not only the world of information as we know it, but also our daily lives, ways of learning, socializing, the mechanisms of social grouping and the concepts of time and space.

Elements of work psychology applied to well-being in groups - 2 CFU;

The students are expected to know the main dynamics of work groups. They should also be able to go into depth as to the psychodynamic and relational aspects of being a member of a group. Their know-how acquired should enable them to develop more self-awareness in thet workplace, as well as healthy work-life balance skills.

Legislation and jurisprudence, statuary law, involved in the various types of liability, e.g., civil, criminal, administrative, revenue, deontological, involving the technical and healthcare personnel of the sector; mobbing analysis; Gelli Law (the framework for madical malpractice); rules/regulations governing the protection of maternity and paternity.

The first meeting will provide: scientific information and the basics of bibliographic research (catalogs, journals etc.,), background vs foreground questions, scientific articles, the peer reviewing process, details of the difference between scanning and searching, primary and secondary literature, the pyramid of publications, the Pico process/ framework, the use of Boolean operators to provide more focused and productive results. and other useful tools to connect and create search strings, the main methods for the querying of a database. The 1st part of Pubmed.

The second meeting: the 2nd part of Pubmed, systematic reviews and the Cochrane Library

The third meeting: a brief outline on bibliometry and citation databases: Web of Science/knowledge platform, Scopus, the Google Scholar search engine

The fourth meeting: guideline sites, notes on copyrights and intellectual property, a bibliography management system: Zotero

Procedures and tenders: the acquisition of Health Technologies within a University Hospital - 1 CFU;

1) Administrative procedures, the legislator, the laws on proceedings, the Italian Anticorruption Authority (A.N.A.C) and tender procedures.

2) The types of special tender specifications, technical assessments, sentences and appeals.

3) The various types of public funding, the A.O.U processes and internal commissions that  govern and regulate the replacement and technological innovation of health technologies.

4) The commission for tests / donations / free loans for health technologies, in compliance with the Italian laws, rules/regulations governing the public administration

5) Installations, tests, the management of technical assistance activities for health technologies.

The first meeting: network concept, mass culture, historical reflections on the birth of new media, the birth of the internet, the 3 phases of "internet studies"

The second meeting: The main sociologists of the network: works and trains of thought.

The third meeting: the social networks dedicated to those who carry out research and the possibility of information distortions in this context, the generalist social networks: the reasons behind the birth of fake news, post-truth, confirmation bias, polarization, the backfire effect, the Manifesto of Non-hostile Communication (sensitizing people on the violence of words). The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFL) manifesto on the phenomenon of ‘fake news and how to recognise it.

The fourth meeting: digital health communication, reflections on what happened during the recent Covid-19 pandemic, 2.0 patients and their searching for online information, health literacy and fake news in the health sector, information campaigns and "citizen science".

As the tutoring methodology adopted is based on a reflective involvement of the students, it does not readily lend itself to a learning assessment as such. However, if need be, there is no impediment as to the set-up of a system of assessment to validate the knowledge acquired.

Elements of work psychology applied to well-being in groups - 2 CFU;

Small group work and debates/discussions, also on an individual basis, with the educator on the issues that have come up during the course.
